At Queanbeyan Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

School sport promotes physical fitness and helps students develop teamwork and leadership skills.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities.
Aboriginal Cultural Programs
Our Aboriginal cultural programs enrich students' understanding of Indigenous history and traditions, fostering respect and inclusivity. They also enhance students' sense of identity and connection to community.
Lunchtime and Interest based clubs
Lunchtime and interest-based clubs help primary students explore their passions and make new friends. They also promote teamwork and creativity in a fun, relaxed environment.
Student leadership opportunities
Student leadership opportunities build confidence and develop important communication skills. They also encourage responsibility and teamwork among students.
Public speaking and Debating
Public speaking and debating help primary students build confidence and express their ideas clearly. They also develop listening skills and encourage respectful discussion.
Learn to Swim Program
The learn to swim program occurs yearly for stage 2 students at the Queanbeyan Aquatic Centre. The program goes for two weeks for students to grow their confidence and ability in the pool.
