Term 2

Playing on monkey bars

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you may be aware, the NSW government released guidelines yesterday for Department of Education schools. These guidelines included the following:

    1) Term 2 will start with two pupil free days on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 April

    2) Teaching and Learning will resume for students on Wednesday 29 April

    3) Week 1 and Week 2 will see schools operational as they were leading in to the holidays. Where practical, parents are encouraged to implement learning from home

    4) A return to school model to gradually increase face to face teaching will begin in Week 3 (Monday 11 May)

A managed return to school (Week 3)

We will be planning to introduce a staged return to school for our students. As per the advice, we will be working on a model where all students attend one day per week. This plan will be communicated to families prior to Week 3.

Pick up and drop off

We will be implementing changes to school pick up and drop off as of Wednesday April 29. This will include:

    • Staying in your car when dropping off and picking up your children if safe to do so

    • Maintaining social distancing by avoiding gathering outside of the school gates

Week 1 Remote Learning

Online remote units of learning for Week 1 will be uploaded to our website and sent out on Enews on the afternoon of Tuesday 28 April.

Changes to collection of paper packages from school

Paper packages can be collected from school on TUESDAY 28 APRIL between 1pm and 3pm

I would like to thank our school community for your flexibility and responsiveness to our seemingly ever changing circumstances.

Our priority is, as always, the health, safety and wellbeing of all our students and staff. We are grateful for all of your support in our efforts to achieve this.
